Pinay Students Saddened by Michael Jackson's Death

Just as moonwalking Pinoys (male Filipinos) are saddened by the sudden death of their idol, Michael Jackson, so are the many young Filipina students who love his music and admire his person.

What makes the pop icon's death dishearten a big number of Pinays? Is it the vain physical transformations that they can identify with? Well, almost all Filipinas want fairer complexion. Is it the sweetness of his female pitched voice or the consummate artistry in his music? Is it his signature dancing moves that mixes sexual erotics with moonwalk thrills? Or is it the person himself who has touched us all from his childhood, love affairs, legal battles, advocacies and sexual dilemnas?

His music never ceases to touch the hearts of Pinoys and Pinays, students and workers, young and old. Michael's mixture of mystery, isolation, indulgence, overwhelming global fame, and personal loneliness was intimately known to all of us. As easy as it was for Pinays anf Pinoys to love him, his death seemed almost fated.

Filipinas pay tribute to Farrah Fawcett

Farrah Fawcett

Most Filipinas knew about the tough tussle that their favorite Charlie's Angel went through. A very sad sigh of relief came though when Farrah Fawcett quietly passed away last Thursday, June 25, 2009. She left behind a especially informative documentary of her illness and the struggles she went through which was aired on NBC in May.

Farrah’s scuffle against cancer is told in the thoroughly candid and often touching film, called Farrah’s Story. The documentary film shows the truth about cancer as we rarely see it. In Farrah’s personal words, “This is what cancer is”.

Farrah’s optimism in making the documentary is to broaden understanding about the disease, what it does, how it destroys and what can be done to stop it. It is about the hope that cancer will be eradicated someday, not just for the affluent, but even for those without the means. The message is that, even in the direst circumstance, courage and goodwill can be found.

Farrah’s story truly inspires and encourage Filipinas as it did to many people around the world. The video below shows the premiere of the documentary.

The Naked Truth on Pinays

Pinay Students (Filipino female students) in Philippine colleges and universities hold that brazen image of a Filipina (Filipino woman) struggling to find her own place in the sun. Filipina students, who once consider their roles as mere inspirations and beauty symbols, gradually conduct themselves in bolder and more challenging roles not just as the nifty survivors from men’s sexual advances but as respectable partners in all areas of human development.

While the current progressive views on the adorable (not affordable) Pinays is headstrong on the limelight of Filipino awareness, the machismo consciousness, that their male counterparts are clinging on to, cannot be sidelined easily despite social and legal attempts to quash it in oblivion.

The naked truth however remains as male Pinay fantasies continue to bear the image of the naked Pinay in all her splendor and soft weakness. Why is it so hard for our society to pull together innate beauty and acquired strength of persona? How could we overcome the popularity of sexually demeaning scandals named after colleges and universities to which these Filipina students are believed to have enrolled in?

Are we going to just blame it on the rain and put our hands in our pockets, hoping to find enough money to buy our way into the arms and soft embrace of the adorable Pinay?

The Hot Micro Bikini on that Sizzling Summertime

Hmmm, it was such a sweet sexy summertime. The rainy season makes the craving for that much talked about hot summer nights… or days. I still recall a young Filipina lady who now resides in New Zealand who said in her email that she misses the hot summer in the Philippines. Even my former Filipina classmates wanted to stay for the summer and swim their melancholy away on our beautiful beaches.

Actually, summer is all about looking hot and feeling hotter. Summer is long, languid days on the beach, quixotic evenings overlooking the sea and going out on the town in dazzling new outfits. Those vacationers really look fantastic
with beauty-revealing outfits. Summer also caused you ladies to break out last year’s outfits, including that old, dingy bathing suit. But this year, you shook things up. This year, you took a plunge, and splurge on a barely-there tiny micro bikini. I tell you, the once so demure Filipina were ready to let go, especially our university girls in all their liberal innocence.

Mind you, everything got smaller these days. Women wore and still wear baby doll tees, hip hugger jeans and mini-skirts. Tiny micro bikinis are the beach counterpart to these trends. Match up a regular bikini to a tiny micro bikini and the major disparity is the bottoms. A tiny micro bikini bottom still covers the critical areas but uses the most minuscule amount of material needed. And it makes you feel much more natural, liberated and unrestrained!

A tiny micro bikini is ideal for lots of reasons. It is form-fitting and well-crafted, meaning it's very comfy. It's like running on the beach in your birthday suits but with no worry about showing those private parts that shouldn't be shown. If you can wear a thong, you can wear a tiny micro bikini with ease. It also gives you the ability to show off that sexy shape that you work so hard to maintain. Why spend all those hours working your abs, legs and butt at the gym if no one is going to see them? The tiny micro also makes it easy to flaunt every inch of your fine complexion. And if you haven't reached your desired level of tan, a tiny micro bikini is perfect for laying out in the sunshine and ensures you the least amount of tan lines possible. Natural sunshine sure beats frying in a tanning bed any day.

The tiny micro bikini
has managed to fill the gap between full-on nudity and conservatism in swimwear. So our dear Filipina girls and ladies, don't be afraid to cut loose and embrace the tiny micro bikini. You definitely won't be alone!

Filipina Scandals - Who Gains?

The Philippine President is a Filipina. PGMA as she is hastily referred to has caused quite an uproar as her cohorts in Congress tried to stage one futile attempt to extend her term through the Con-Ass. Using their massive numbers, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s allies in the House of Representatives crushed all objections and passed a resolution setting up a constituent assembly (Con-ass) amid opposition warnings it would allow Ms Arroyo to stay in power beyond 2010.

This congressional scandal upstaged the Katrina-Hayden Scandal that took our breaths for a while as young Pinoys and Pinays searched through cyberspace, run to sidewalk vendors, activated their CPs bluetooths just to view such glorious sexual demeanor. Was it a male perverted insult to sexually submissive or persuasive Filipinas? The courts shall decide....

A Closer Look at Pinay Beauty

Let's face the music. Americans and Europeans are so fascinated by the exotic oriental beauty and sweetness of Filipinas. Actually, there is much more than the physical beauty of the Filipina that clicks with foreigners.

Those unique qualities of Filipino women attract Westerners. Pinays are not only beautiful, but are also charming and cheerful. Filipinas have a positive disposition in life making them delightful and friendly. They are very loyal, lovable and passionate. Yes, Filipinas are very understanding, loving, caring and perfect home-buddies. The Filipina is often times conservative about how she conducts herself, particularly in public - usually prim and proper in her actions.

There are many beautiful Filipinas who are famous worldwide, and have won international awards on beauty contests. Some very popular Filipino Americans have even made it to Hollywood and American television, like Vanessa Anne Hudgens, Tia Carrere, Phoebe Cates, Reggie Lee who played Bill Kim in "Prison Break (Season 2)", Victoria Principal of "Dallas", Victoria RecaƱo of "CSI: Miami", Rob Schneider of "Saturday Night Live", Anna Maria Perez de Tagle who played Ashley from "Hannah Montana", Tamlyn Tomita of "The Joy Luck Club" and "The Karate Kid - Part II", Cheryl Burke who is a participant in "Dancing with the Stars", Vanessa Minnillo and many others.

For now let's see some close-up unique beauties below.

Whew! But do we really have to appreciate beauty at skin level. Do we see some complains behind those smiles. The physical aspect is undeniably too overwhelming such that the spirituality of the Filipina woman becomes too obscure to pursue and cherish. Worse is, she herself gets lost in her physical splendor. Her attraction weakens her soul...
